HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR AQUARIUS ULTIMA CONTROLLER

There are hundreds of Aquarius Ultima Controllers out there in swimming pool plant rooms. Not very many of them are operated in a fashion that utalise the tremendous ability that they give the user in managing a swimming pool.

Pre-requisites

• A thorough knowledge of pool chemistry and service procedures, which you are supposed to have, if you are servicing a swimming pool.
• An attitude that says, ‘you want to be the best’.
• Diligence.
• Make sure the controller is web connected.

Keys

• Maintain the correct pH as accurately as possible always.
• Log on using AquaReporter at least twice a day.

• Always check the previous day’s graphs for pH and ORP or FAC.

‍

• Ensure site ‘Service Procedures’ are being followed.
• Be aware of pool activity as much as possible.
• Be aware of other factors that affect the pool chemistry like the weather.
• Investigate when something does not look normal.

That's where you start. Follow the above and you will minimalise problems. It only takes about 30 seconds to check a site most times. It will take longer when there is a problem. When a problem occurs, there is an amazing array of tools available (including your brain) to help solve the problem. Data downloads are an example of such a tool.

Don't fall into the trap of believing that a chemical controller will manage everything for you without any input from your brain. It's just a tool like everything else.
